About The Project

The need for change in cultural standards of beauty that are often unrealistic, coupled with the ill-effects of social media consumption, led to the creation of Bodywise. It is a social initiative that seeks to advocate for a body-sensitive and positive approach to youngster’s physical and mental wellbeing. Young people, especially children, face body image issues from a very impressionable age. Research suggests that this expectation of the ideal body- promoted on TV, in magazines, on the internet, or through their interactions with friends or adults- can have serious, negative psychological effects.

The Bodywise Project aims to promote sensitivity and positivity towards the body and self. Through a series of interactive, educational resources, we aim to raise awareness, as well as about nutrition, mental wellbeing and health, body positivity and acceptance, as well as fitness.

Our aim is to help all people love their bodies- for they serve us in so many ways!
